The South Cirque showing is located about 1.7 kilometres south-southeast of Perkins Peak and 24 kilometres southwest of the community of Kleena Kleene.

The South Cirque area is underlain by volcaniclastic sandstone, siltstone, and minor limestone of the Upper Triassic Mosley Formation. On the south side of Chromium Creek valley, in an area between South Ridge and Briton is a group of three rock samples (X517906, X517907, and X591794) anomalous in copper (0.23 to 0.79 per cent), all with elevated gold (0.14 to 0.73 gram per tonne gold). These occur within the limonite colour anomaly that is underlain by the zone of imbricate sericite-quartz-pyrite schist of the thrust faults. Two are samples of quartz veins and the other of silicified tuff.

Sample X517907 was the most significant of three samples, grading 0.79 per cent copper, 0.73 gram per tonne gold, and 9.93 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 38794).

July 2023 note: The grades for X517907 are given as listed above in Table 6, page 34, and Figures 10 and 11. However the grades are associated with Sample X517910 in the Certificate of Analysis KL19182630, located at UTM 357752E and 5739497N, which is 1300 metres to the east-southeast of X517907. The grades for X517907 in the Certificate of Analysis are 0.0047 per cent copper, <0.001 gram per tonne gold, and 0.07 gram per tonne silver. The other 2 samples mention are also associated with difference sample numbers (X517909 and X517797) in the Certificate of Analysis (see Assessment Report 38794).

See Mountain Boss (092N 010) and Briton (092N 011) for related geological information and work history on the surrounding Perk-Rocky property.
